I help evaluate assets, develop projects and turn complex information into decisions. Eighteen years at operating companies, most of them in reservoir engineering: a discipline that integrates geology, production, economics and uncertainty. Today I combine that experience with data, automation and AI, from the first look at an opportunity through appraisal and execution.

Data and AI for decisions
Dashboards, models and agents on auditable sources or the client's own data: what offset operators are doing, what an asset is worth, where a bid makes sense.
Reservoir engineering
Full-field simulation and geomodelling, reserves progression, development planning, forecasting and waterflood surveillance. Several years as a specialist, working in Petrel, Eclipse and CMG.
Project development
Asset valuation, data rooms, production forecasts and the economics of an acquisition decision. At the other end of the cycle, taking a new project from idea to execution, with the team and the counterparties convened for the case.
The AI judgment that goes into every project is kept sharp with public work: the cyber-incident registry for Argentina's energy sector (fourteen incidents, each row sourced) and interpretability research, with a published paper and demo. It is the basis for deciding which tasks get delegated to AI in your project, and which do not.

A network convened per project
A real project takes more hands than a demo. Each proposal assembles the team for the case: economic geology, geophysics, remote sensing, reservoir and facilities engineering, software development and cybersecurity, with each specialist's role set out in writing. Your project pays for the team it needs, not a fixed structure.

Appraisal of new-business projects through to the decision to invest or not, with the timely shelving when the economics did not hold. Most of it was sustainable aviation fuel, with UOP, Technip and LanzaJet; it reached conceptual engineering and none went to execution. In new energy the bottleneck is rarely the process: it is who signs the offtake.

Tecpetrol · Buenos Aires, with assets in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia
Tecpetrol's technical representative in the Camisea consortium, blocks 88 and 56: the full-field simulation model of the giant gas condensate field. In Ecuador, mature waterflooded fields for Petroamazonas EP: Shushufindi and Libertador-Atacapi. Co-creator of Well Expert, the well-data web application the company ended up running on.

Reservoir engineering across the Neuquén basin: El Porvenir and Centenario, with more than 40 well interventions and field training. In corporate engineering, valuation support to business development: the bid for Petroandina Resources ended in the purchase of its Argentine share for over US$ 300 million.

Five years teaching Petroleum Project Appraisal, and two as a researcher at the Reservoir Simulation Research Center. Two publications on reservoir simulation applied to lithium brine salars: the reason this site carries mining demos.
